Services

Five focus areas. One ninety minute session.

A small, deliberate scope. Bring what you have, including imaging or notes from other practitioners.

01 Physical trauma rehabilitation

Recovery from falls, collisions, accidents.

Working back from a physical incident, in the time the body actually needs.

Trauma layers itself. The visible injury sits over compensation patterns that built up the moment the body braced. Ninety minutes lets us assess the loud parts and the quiet parts in one session, then revisit and reassess as things start to release.

Bring imaging, scans, surgical reports, and any plan you already have. We will work alongside it, not on top of it.

02 Work and sport injuries

For people who use their bodies for a living, or for fun.

Repetitive strain, lifting injuries, sport setbacks. Honest assessment, focused work, a plan that respects your timeline.

The questions are practical: what do you have to do this week, what can you not do, what is the realistic path to a return. The answers come from a proper assessment, not from a script. A return to sport, to a trade, or to a job that loads the same tissue every day is the goal we work toward.

03 Hyperbaric oxygen therapy

The Tank. On site.

An on site hyperbaric oxygen chamber, used as part of recovery, infection, and rehabilitation work.

The Tank, the practice's on site hyperbaric oxygen chamber
The Tank, on site at 16 Marion Street, Ulverstone

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy delivers oxygen at higher than atmospheric pressure. It is used as an adjunct in a range of recovery and wound contexts. Sessions in the chamber are scheduled around the assessment work, not as a stand alone product.

Pressure rating: The Tank operates at just under three atmospheres absolute (ATA), which is medical hyperbaric pressure. That is a different category of chamber to the milder 1.3 to 1.5 ATA "mHBOT" units sometimes used in non clinical wellness settings.

When HBOT is not appropriate

There are conditions under which hyperbaric oxygen is not suitable, including but not limited to:

  • Untreated pneumothorax
  • Certain ear and sinus conditions
  • Specific chemotherapy agents
  • Some respiratory conditions
  • Pregnancy in some contexts

This is not a complete list. Suitability is discussed before any session in the chamber. Please consult your doctor first if you are uncertain whether HBOT is appropriate for your situation.

04 Sciatica alleviation

For pain that travels.

Lower back, hip, leg pain that radiates. Patient, layered work to settle the nerve and rebuild what supports it.

Sciatic pain has many sources. The session opens with a careful assessment to find which structures are involved in your particular case, then works through them in an order that respects how irritated the nerve is on the day. Slower, longer, gentler is often the right answer here.

05 Post operative rehabilitation

After surgery, the body still has work to do.

Recovery work after surgery, run alongside the surgeon's discharge plan.

Bring your discharge notes, the surgeon's protocol, the timeline you were given. We will work inside it, not around it. The goal is to support the body through the stages it has been told to move through, and to address the surrounding tissue that is doing extra work to compensate.

FAQ

Common questions.

Is hyperbaric oxygen therapy safe?

Hyperbaric oxygen is well established for a range of recovery and rehabilitation indications, but it is not appropriate for every person or every condition. Untreated pneumothorax, certain ear and sinus conditions, and some medications are contraindications. Suitability is discussed before any session in the chamber. Please consult your doctor first.

Do you take referrals from other practitioners?

Yes, but a referral is not required. If you have imaging, surgical notes, or a treatment plan from another practitioner, bring it. Working alongside an existing plan is common in the post operative and chronic pain work.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on what you bring in, how long it has been there, and how the body responds. William will discuss expectations with you in the first session and will not commit to an outcome or a session count up front. Some people come once. Some come monthly for maintenance.
